Baileys Chocolate Cheesecake Trifle

Baileys Chocolate Cheesecake Trifle

Ingredients

For the chocolate cake layer:

• 1 chocolate cake (store-bought or homemade, about 20 cm / 8-inch)
• 2–3 tbsp Baileys Irish Cream (to drizzle)
For the cheesecake cream:
• 250 g (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
• 1 cup heavy cream (whipping cream)
• ½ cup powdered sugar
• ¼ cup Baileys Irish Cream
For the chocolate mousse layer:
• 200 g (7 oz) dark chocolate, melted and cooled
• 1 cup heavy cream (whipped)
• 2 tbsp Baileys Irish Cream
For assembly & garnish:
• 1 cup crushed Oreos or chocolate cookies
• Whipped cream (for topping)
• Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder
• Optional: mini chocolate chips or grated chocolate

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cake base
    • Cut chocolate cake into cubes.
    • Place a layer of cubes at the bottom of your trifle dish.
    • Drizzle lightly with Baileys.
  2. Make the cheesecake cream
    • Beat cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
    • Add Baileys and mix again.
    • In another bowl, whip cream until soft peaks form.
    • Gently fold whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  3. Make the chocolate mousse
    • Whip the cream until soft peaks form.
    • Add melted (cooled) chocolate and Baileys, and fold gently until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Assemble the trifle
    • Layer order (repeat as needed depending on dish depth):
  5. Chocolate cake cubes + Baileys drizzle
  6. Cheesecake cream
  7. Chocolate mousse
  8. Crushed Oreos or cookies
    • Continue layering until dish is filled.
  9. Finish & chill
    • Top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and drizzle of Baileys (optional).
    • Refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours (overnight is best) to let flavors set.
