Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1โ2 inch piece fresh ginger root
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
- A few mint leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Ginger
- Wash and peel the ginger root.
- Slice it thinly or grate it for a stronger flavor.
- Boil Water
- Add water to a small pot and bring it to a boil.
- Infuse Ginger
- Add ginger slices to the boiling water.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10โ15 minutes.
- Strain
- Strain the ginger water into a cup.
- Add Flavor (Optional)
- Mix in honey and lemon juice after the water cools slightly.
- Serve
- Drink warm, or refrigerate and serve chilled with ice.
