Ingredients
- 2 cans (21 ounces each) strawberry pie filling
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup chopped strawberries (optional)
- Whipped cream for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the strawberry pie filling, softened cream cheese, and granulated sugar; mix until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the strawberry mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the strawberry layer.
- Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix.
- If desired, sprinkle chopped strawberries on top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with whipped cream, if desired.
