Perfect to serve with noodles or mashed potatoes for a complete meal. It’s one of those recipes that always turns out well and everyone wants seconds.
Ingredients
500g minced meat
1/2 small onion
2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
1 egg
2 tablespoons milk
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon mustard (optional)
Oil for browning
For the sauce:
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups broth (beef or chicken)
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Finely chop the onion and mix it with the ground meat in a bowl.
Add the breadcrumbs, egg, milk, salt, pepper, and mustard.
Mix everything together until well combined, being careful not to overwork the mixture so it remains tender.
Form medium-sized meatballs with your hands.
In a skillet with a little oil, brown them on all sides until well sealed. Remove them and set aside.
